Rogério Fernandes Ferreira, during his stay in Belo Horizonte, gave an interview for "Diário do Comércio" in which he defends that Portugal is beginning to reveal itself as an alternative for Brazilian investors and entrepreneurs.

The Partner and Founder of RFF & Associados, underlines the new taxation for non-habitual residents, the benefit of the golden visa and also the tax exemption for companies based in Portugal and have ramifications in other countries: "Portugal can be a business platform for Brazilian investors with presence in other markets".

Rogério Fernandes Ferreira indicates, still, an incentive measure approved in 2010 which has been put into clearer effect since the 1 of January 2013: The new Taxation for non-habitual residents regime (RNH), benefits both Portuguese and foreigners who have been out of the country for the past five years. According to lawyers, with this regime Non-habitual Residents will be exempt of every tax related with external income, such as the work for self-employed or entrepreneurs, and also pension or application of capital (bank interests) and dividends "with benefit coming from outside".
