The year 2020 was marked by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) with large consequences, impacting the society but especially certain field of activities, such as the tourism sector.

Neither the fact Portugal is considered as a destination with adequate responses in terms of the health system, having (for a long time) managed to contain the spread of the virus nor its attractiveness for the past few years, was efficient to recover from the worst worldwide year for the touristic sector.
